The mission of Easter Seals of the Birmingham Area’s is to create solutions that change the lives of children and adults with disabilities or other special needs and their families. We strive to achieve this mission on a daily basis through our amazing programs listed below.
PEDIATRIC THERAPY SERVICES
The Pediatric Therapy Program at Easter Seals of the Birmingham Area offers an interdisciplinary team approach to treating the whole child. Our staff of speech-language pathologists, physical therapist, and occupational therapist specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of children with various disabilities including; Speech and Language Delays, Cognitive Impairment, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Seizure Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Sensory Processing Disorder, Academic Difficulties, Feeding Disorders, Orthopedic Injuries and Needs, Hand-Writing and Fine Motor Challenges.
ADULT VOCATIONAL SERVICES
Easter Seals of the Birmingham Area’s Adult Program serves individuals with disabilities seeking competitive employment. The disability or severity does not matter as long as the individual is capable of obtaining and maintaining employment in the workforce. We serve adults from high school students to senior citizens.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM
The Medical Assistance Grant Program assists individuals and families in paying for the medical requirements of children and adults who have disabilities and are unable to provide for their own needs.
