Alabama’s Early Intervention System (AEIS) is a statewide system of services for children from birth to three (3) years of age who have developmental delays and provides support for the children’s family. Developmental delays are targeted in the areas of motor skills, speech development, cognitive skills, social skills, and adaptive training such as feeding and potty training. Cahaba Early Intervention Program provides services to families who live in Dallas, Perry, and Wilcox Counties. Cahaba Early Intervention staff assist and teach parents and caregivers how to help their child with a developmental delay. Case management services to make referrals and assist families with obtaining available community services is provided to each child as needed.
